Bob Burden Bob Burden

After graduating with a degree in journalism, Bob Burden decided to take the road less traveled and become a comic book creator. First down the track was an offbeat superhero with a feisty line in dialogue that saw print in the anthology title Visions. Having steered that cult classic, Flaming Carrot, through various companies over many years it is now one of the longest running independent comics still being published From several supporting series one such lead to the concept that became the 1999 Universal movie Mystery Men.
He has written fiction for short story collections, scripted Cholly and Flytrap for Marvel's Epic imprint and reprised his earlier Robot Comics as Robot Crime for the 20th anniversary of a Heavy Metal magazine.
Among several awards Bob Burden has won is an Eisner as the writer of Gumby's Summer Fun Special, a character he returns to in the ongoing Gumby Comics.
